Beam Signing Held for New Hartford HealthCare HealthCenter in Mystic

A beam signing ceremony was held September 26, 2019 to commemorate Hartford HealthCare’s new HealthCenter that is currently under construction in Mystic, CT.  The new state-of-the-art 3-story facility will be approximately 47,000 square feet and will offer a variety of services to the surrounding area inclusive of Primary Care & Concierge Service, Heart & Vascular Institute, Full Imaging, Rehabilitation Services, Pain Management, Neurology Specialty Services, and Movement Disorders Center.

Located along the shoreline of southeastern Connecticut and inspired by the nautical theme of the development, the design of the building appears as a slightly curved volume with white, raked horizontal panels suggesting the hull of a skiff, anchored by a distinctive conical beacon tower, which encloses the stairwell,  similar in proportion to the lighthouse at the Mystic Seaport Museum.

Concord is providing project management services for the core/shell and fit-out of the new HealthCenter.  Completion of the facility is anticipated for late January / early February 2020.
